Self-realization Is Destructive

Self-realization is destructive. It is not constructive. You are not adding on, supplementing, or gaining anything new. It is the destruction of everything you think you are, think you need to know, and think you need to achieve. That sounds scary, so the ego will cling on for dear life, but the good news is that everything you believe yourself to be doesn't actually exist in the first place. It is a construction of thoughts!
Fear comes from the belief in it being real and that it will therefore die. That's why they say you have to 'die before you die'.
Seeking is really this destructive process. You eventually have to rule everything out. Rule everything out that doesn't work. Every method of searching until you are left with nothing but what you actually are, which was there all along. You were just too busy seeking to notice.
